Kanchanjunga Base Camp trek, the third highest peak in the world situated in the eastern Nepal. Trek in Kachenjunga area is an experience of the remoteness, mountain views of Kanchenjungha range, various flora and fauna and local culture.Trek starting lowlands through rhododendron forests and villages of east Nepal up to the glacier.

Lapsang La is a little bit technical route otherwise it requires a good walking experience and a good physical form. Dovan, Sekathum and Chauki are Limbu villages. There is a Tibetan refugee village in Pholle. They come from Tibet crossing Olangchung pass in 1965. This village is pretty village. Visitors can buy here some souvenir. Gunsa is the bigest village in this region. It is also very nice village of more than 100 houses. Taxidermy of wild mamals and birds is kept in KKCAP head quarter in Gunsa village.

Before trek: Arrival in Kathmandu, we will pick up you at airport, transfer to hotel, briefing.

We can arrange for you sightseeing, day starts around 9am. Our City guide will take you to visit world heritage sites Biggest Hindu Temple Pashupati, Biggest Boudha Stupa and Swayambhu (Monkey Temple). Final preparation day for trekking, check the gears.

Day 01: Fly to Bhadrapur, pick up and transfer to Hotel Birtamod (45mins drive)
Day 02: Drive to Taplejung (6-7 hours driving) through Nepali biggest tea producing area Ilam tea garden.
Day 03: Trek to Sinuawa (6hrs) through beautiful valley of Tamur river (1200m)
Day 04: Lelep, walking along the river of Tamur, through cardamom farm (1600m)
Day 05: Amjilessa, walking through alder trees, still cardamom farm around (2498m)
Day 06: Gyapla, walking through mixed forest with rhododendrons and some bamboo (2725m) (5 hours)
Day 07: Gunsha (3415m)
Day 08: Rest day
Day 09: Kambachen, trek along the river (4145m)
Day 10: Lonak, Terrain still along the river (4790m)
Day 11: Day hike to Kanchenjungha base camp (5140m) and back
Day 12: Khambachen (4145m)

Day 14: Selele (4300m)
Day 15: Cross Selele la Pass to Tseram (3870m)
Day 16: Ramche (4580m)

Tips, yes, still it is common in Nepal. If you are happy with their service, we recommend around 8–10 USD for guide per day and about 6–8 USD for porter. Although our guides and porters receive a fair wage, it must be remembered that their work is seasonal.
